to really live: October

In fact, with every temptation, He always provides a way out. The scripture above not only says He provides a way out, but it also says He gives us the strength to bear up under trials with patience. That means we can go through them with a good attitude! Maintaining a good attitude in the midst of something unpleasant is the key to victory, and it enables us to enjoy the journey. Help me today to see my life with a new perspective. Religion has spawned wars. Many so-called religious people have been characterized by prejudice, pride, bickering, and even tolerance for slavery.

Are you disappointed with society? If you are, I challenge you to take the first step. I challenge you to look at yourself. May my life speak to others of Your love and compassion, Lord Jesus Christ. He encourages relationships throughout His Word, but it is important to have healthy, safe, and godly relationships. Some relationships are not safe for us because we are being used, manipulated, and taken advantage of.

I personally am not interested in having what I call one-sided relationships in which I do all the giving while the other party does all the taking. God does use us at times in the lives of selfish, self-centered people, and we do make sacrifices, but there is a point at which we are hurting people if we let them manipulate us for their own pleasure.

You are very valuable and entitled to have good friends who will respect and honor you properly. I ask You for safe, healthy relationships in which I can flourish and grow. Nor is it a part-time phenomenon. The rock-solid principles that God has communicated should be shared with others. We see this admonition repeatedly in Scripture. In other words, we are His emissaries to the world. We are to take what we know and make it known to those we encounter. For what purpose? The passage makes it clear that our mission is to help others be reconciled to God.

How can we ever doubt the urgency of this message? We have a truth to tell, and we must share it!

Silent Whispers of the Soul

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

A law was passed that said if a nobleman beat or badly mistreated the people under his care, he would have a caretaker from the government placed over his estate as he clearly was not qualified to lead. Yet in anger Peter the Great struck his own gardener, who died a few days later from the injury. I have civilized my own subjects and I have conquered other nations. Yet I have not been able to civilize or conquer myself. Jesus demonstrated this after He healed the man with a withered hand. That was anger for the right reason.

The Gospel of St. Matthew.

However, much of our anger is not directed to defend the truths of God from attack, but directed at real or perceived offenses against us personally. This is the dangerous anger that must be brought under control. Today's Growth Principle: If we allow the fires of anger to burn unchecked, destruction will always result. Too often we are impatient in prayer and want God to respond at the speed of modern technology. He was confident that God would hear, and he also knew that spiritual growth is a lifelong process, not a quick fix.

The Lord desires to answer petitions that line up with His will. Of course, we should also talk to our Father about our physical or emotional concerns, but we must not overlook our need for consistent spiritual growth. Through Paul, God has given us an example for an honest prayer that He longs to answer. Then be patient, knowing God answers prayers in the best way and with the best timing.

The human soul is a lonely thing. It must have the assurance of companionship. Left entirely to itself, it cannot enjoy anything.

Psalms 138

The creation of Eve was the beginning of human companionship. The only true body in the world is the Church. Only in a true friendship and a true love do we find a genuine basis for peace. Only God can break down the national and racial barriers that divide men today. Only God can supply that love that we must have for our fellowman. We will never build brotherhood of man upon earth until we are believers in Christ Jesus. The only true cohesive power in the world is Christ.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Jesus was not accepted by the majority of people when He came, and the same is true today. The problem now is the same as it was then—people not being willing to accept Jesus on His own terms.

Emotional Intelligence Self-Perception Lesson No.1

Many are willing to accept Jesus as an example, a teacher, or even a prophet, but they are not willing to receive Him as the Saviour and only way to Heaven. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, and if we refuse to accept Him as our Saviour and only hope, we cannot be saved. They knew what the scriptures said about the promised Saviour. But they rejected Jesus as the answer. If we are to be saved, we must come to Jesus on His terms and receive Him through faith. Faith stands apart from any work we might do or any sin we might avoid and trusts Him alone. The only way to conquer fear is to confront it and to do the thing you are afraid of.

Reward Yourself

If you truly want to be free, understand that facing a fear is better than being afraid all your life. Fear is a terrible burden to live with. Help me to step out Although we may think of his attacks as external, the real battleground is in the realm of ideas. If he can get a church to believe erroneous doctrines, unbiblical philosophies, and false assumptions about God, he can lead it away from the truth and into error. And the Enemy uses this same tactic on individual Christians as well. The battlefield is our mind, not our circumstances.

Silent Whispers of the Soul: Selah!!! Sincere Expressions –Love, Attitude, Heart!

As the Father of Lies, he knows that deception is an effective tactic. His goal is to influence our thoughts because how we think determines our attitudes, emotions, desires, and actions. Therefore, he seeks to twist our thoughts in order to gain a foothold and wreak havoc in all areas. Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? Doing what came to be known as time-motion studies, Taylor worked to determine the most effective way to do specific jobs, and how long each job should take.

His book The Principles of Scientific Management was one of the most influential books of the last century. But while it is good to change our views if we had previously been wrong, often these changes are not an improvement, but a capitulation to convenience. What this kind of change reveals is that the position we once held was not serious and genuine, but only on the surface level.

Perhaps the greatest indication of our commitment to our beliefs is whether we actually practice what we say.

It is not enough just to say the right things, but we must put them into practice as well. One morning the saloon keeper came out and found that the horse was hitched in front of the Methodist church. It means that you changed hitching posts.
